Sunshine Room

Thanks to funding from Friends of St Monica's, our Parent/Teacher Association, the school has been able to refurbish a room for use as a welcoming sensory space for pastoral care. A competition was held in school to find a suitable new name and Megan in Y4 won with "The Sunshine Room"

With beanbags, a sofa, sensory lighting, games and more, the room is proving very popular! 

A recent Peer to Peer SEND review commented:

"The Sunshine Room is a wonderful, effective resource, providing a nurturing environment for more vulnerable pupils. This room also stores resources for staff to access to help pupils with a variety of needs."
